Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Carers to join our team. As a Complex Care Carer, you will provide specialized support and assistance to individuals with complex health conditions, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with complex health needs, including those with neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other long-term conditions.
- Assisting with personal care tasks, medication management, and clinical interventions as prescribed in the care plan, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
- Supporting clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises, using specialist equipment and techniques as required.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in clients' health condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients and their families, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations made, and any changes in clients' condition or care plan.
Skill & Experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience in complex care or a similar healthcare setting is essential, with a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with complex health conditions.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive difference in people's lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following care plans and instructions effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, are desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of clients and the service.
